In the 3rd match minute, Araguaya SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Trigo to maneuver through the defense. If Paulo Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ribeirao SS's Tarcisio Barbosa got a free kick in the 8th minute. William Guerra hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Tibúrcio Castro made a precise shot to the right of Natã Coutinho. Araguaya SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Natã Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Ribeirao SS booed when Araguaya SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natã Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Melo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Waldemar Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the game, Ribeirao SS's Adrianinho Vergílio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Natã Coutinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Natã Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Araguaya SS's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Vergílio came free, but Natã Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Ribeirao SS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Araguaya SS's Natã Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Araguaya SS from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Araguaya SS's zone, Waldemar Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Coutinho came out of the goal and Waldemar Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Araguaya SS's Dionísio Alcântara got a free kick in the 59th minute. Waldemar Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Coutinho having to interfere. A collision led to Araguaya SS getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Clemente Trigo hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes, Ribeirao SS's Pedrinho Valladares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Natã Coutinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ribeirao SS reached it. Adrianinho Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Natã Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Waldemar Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianinho Vergílio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Natã Coutinho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Waldemar Melo struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Natã Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ribeirao SS. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Waldemar Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ribeirao SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldemar Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natã Coutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Waldemar Melo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ribeirao SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Melo couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ribeirao SS's Waldemar Melo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Natã Coutinho. That made the score 0-3 after 80 minutes of play. Waldemar Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Coutinho having to interfere. Adrianinho Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Natã Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Natã Coutinho throw himself and got hold of the ball when Waldemar Melo in the 90thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Waldemar Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Natã Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ribeirao SS played a much better game than Araguaya SS and deserved their victory. The Araguaya SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
