Carlos Eduardo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Paraibano in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Carnaubal getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Serafim Nunes hit a great ball. Amadeu Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 minutes of play, Arame's Caio Diniz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Eduardo Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice moves Caio Diniz could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Carlos Eduardo Linares however easily saved by the left post. Rafael Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Eduardo Linares made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Caio Diniz sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Remo Arruda to strike the kick off in the second half. Renato Negri hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Rafael Prestes came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Carnaubal's Aloísio Santana. But to his dismay, Aloísio Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Carnaubal's Carlos Eduardo Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Diniz in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Carnaubal's Erasmo Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Prestes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haroldo Toscano during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Arame getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Haroldo Toscano hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Carnaubal's Erasmo Lopes got a free kick in the 71st minute. Carlos Eduardo Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Eduardo Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Erasmo Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erasmo Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. Carnaubal's Kaká Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Arame's zone, Erasmo Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Prestes came out of the goal and Erasmo Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kaká Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arame's Rafael Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Arame from getting a goal against them. Kaká Paraibano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Rafael Prestes made a huge save. Carnaubal were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
