With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Vianna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Josué Vianna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Fernando Quaresma went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Angra's zone, Luiz Fernando Quaresma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Vianna came out of the goal and Luiz Fernando Quaresma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Quimami SC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paulo Novaes came free, but Leopoldo Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Quimami SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Diamantino Carneiro scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josué Vianna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Josué Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. João Vítor dos Santos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. João Vítor dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Luiz Fernando Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Vianna having to interfere. Diamantino Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Josué Vianna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quimami SC. 3-0 became the score in the 31st minute when Luiz Fernando Quaresma elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Diamantino Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Angra getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eugênio Ortiz hit a great ball. Josué Vianna was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Diamantino Carneiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diamantino Carneiro really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Diamantino Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. Angra's Josué Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Carneiro in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Luiz Fernando Quaresma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adelino do Nascimento hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Angra were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Quimami SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Durval de Brito took the corner. Durval de Brito made a great header on Angra's corner, it was just that Quimami SC's Leopoldo Antunes managed to reach the ball for a save. Pedro Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Angra's zone, Diamantino Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Vianna came out of the goal and Diamantino Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Régis Neto's late challenge caught a Quimami SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Régis Neto helped the player get up and apologised. Régis Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to Angra getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Pedro Sá hit a great ball. Luiz Fernando Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Vianna having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Leopoldo Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josué Vianna came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Quimami SC's Luiz Fernando Quaresma. But to his dismay, Luiz Fernando Quaresma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 89th minute, Diamantino Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quimami SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
