The Ibiassuce AD fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Ibiassuce AD's Vinícius Meira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ibiassuce AD's Betinho Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Seco in the 27th minute of play. Toninho Barros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toninho Barros made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Toninho Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betinho Reis was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Passo SS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ibiassuce AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
