Dinei Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Descalvado's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Manoel Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st match minute, Descalvado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Freire's late challenge caught a Estaleiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Freire helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Ciro Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Gaspar's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Luisão Ramalho on his right side and into the goal. 41 minutes into the game it was 0-1. 47 minutes into the match, Descalvado's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique de Almeida came free, but Luisão Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Tande made a kick off. After some careless play in the Estaleiro defense, Paulo Tande kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel de Barros. The Estaleiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel de Barros should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Descalvado's zone, Manoel Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Ramalho came out of the goal and Manoel Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luisão Ramalho made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Enrique de Almeida sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Estaleiro's goalkeeper Emanuel de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Descalvado's Paulo Tande in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Estaleiro's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Descalvado booed when Estaleiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Descalvado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
