Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alexandre de Mendonça kicked off to start the match. Cléberson Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Marco Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Macado's zone, Cléberson Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Valladares came out of the goal and Cléberson Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alexandre de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edinho Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Maia in the 18th minute of play. Alexandre de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edinho Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Cléberson Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ituacu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléberson Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ituacu FC's Edinho Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Maia in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, José Carlos Hames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Marcinho Britto in the 35th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Edinho Tavares's left hand side. In the 37th minute Alexandre de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Paulo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Tavares having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Alexandre de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macado's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edinho Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Ituacu FC's Edinho Tavares got control of the ball when Pedro Paulo Maia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edinho Tavares didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Pedro Paulo Maia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edinho Tavares having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling William Torres in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Valladares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes in the game, Alexandre de Mendonça fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edinho Tavares having to interfere. Ian Velloso hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If William Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Edinho Tavares was a little too slow when Alexandre de Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-3. Marco Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Pedro Paulo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Tavares having to interfere.
