The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Cléberson Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ubiracu EC's Claudinei de Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Serginho Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edinho Tavares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 15th match minute, Ubiracu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Nildo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Tavares having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Ferreira in the 20th minute of play forced Ituacu FC's goalkeeper Edinho Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Nildo Ferreira made a precise shot to the right of Edinho Tavares. Ituacu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Ferreira in the 27th minute of play forced Ituacu FC's goalkeeper Edinho Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ituacu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ubiracu EC the free kick. Ricardinho Santana hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho Teixeira in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edinho Tavares saved Ituacu FC from getting behind. In the 37th minute Serginho Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Serginho Teixeira, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 40 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Edinho Tavares was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ubiracu EC's Claudinei de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléberson Vale in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Ubiracu EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cléberson Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. Ubiracu EC's Claudinei de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléberson Vale in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Torres in the 56th minute of play forced Ubiracu EC's goalkeeper Claudinei de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Serginho Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Fernando Queiroz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Claudinei de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson Vale in the 71st minute of the match. Ituacu FC's Edinho Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho Teixeira in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Serginho Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute Cléberson Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinei de Toledo having to make a save. Nildo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Tavares having to interfere. Ubiracu EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
