Mathias Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Leite in the 18th minute of play. José Augusto Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Eusébio Palmeira made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Carneiro in the 21st minute of play forced Corixo EC's goalkeeper Eusébio Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Augusto Amorim struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Eusébio Palmeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bacuri. Eusébio Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Carneiro in the 24th minute of play. When Bacuri's Telmo Carneiro in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corixo EC's goalie prevented a goal. José Augusto Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes in the game, Telmo Carneiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eusébio Palmeira having to interfere. The attack was good, but when José Augusto Amorim in the 45th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. José Augusto Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aírton Monteiro to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Corixo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Carneiro came free, but Eusébio Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
