In the 4th match minute, Parnagua SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Walmyr da Rocha acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 7th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Paulo José Mandrak. In the 8th minute, Belchior Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Márcio Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Márcio Arce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Walmyr da Rocha made a huge save. Márcio Arce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmyr da Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. João Carlos Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Walmyr da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Milona AD's zone, Alexsandro Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Severo came out of the goal and Alexsandro Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Miguel Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexsandro Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walmyr da Rocha having to make a save. Márcio Arce might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmyr da Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Márcio Arce ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Carlos Lopes to make the kick off. Cacá Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If João Carlos Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Milona AD getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Diego França hit a great ball. If Miguel Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Márcio Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr da Rocha having to interfere. In the 76th minute Alexsandro Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes, Diego França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milona AD and the Parnagua SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 minutes of play, Parnagua SS's Miguel Moreira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cacá Severo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th match minute, Parnagua SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Paiva to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Parnagua SS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
