Tostão Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Fernandes in the 4th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Benedito's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Fernandes came free, but Tostão Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tostão Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18thth minute of the game Romeu Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paratiji's Robinho Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Júnior Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tostão Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Benedito:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Paratiji:s goal. The referee gave Paratiji a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Patrick Almeida, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Benedito's Tostão Duarte. 1-0. A hard shot by Wilton Fantini from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Tostão Duarte's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Anísio de Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anísio de Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd match minute, Paratiji was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Paratiji's Robinho Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu Ribeiro in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júnior Toscano got free with Tostão Duarte in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute Jeferson Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 89thth minute of the game Jeferson Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paratiji's Robinho Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robinho Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
