With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Antunes in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Meira saved Franquinha FC from getting behind. After 18 minutes of play, Icoara Football Club's Dito Ramos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Dito Ramos sped through Franquinha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramiro Meira. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zacarias Alves during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Franquinha FC's zone, Erik Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Meira came out of the goal and Erik Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th match minute, Franquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Batista to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Dito Ramos made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Meira. Franquinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. If Erik Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Franquinha FC's zone, Erik Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Meira came out of the goal and Erik Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erik Antunes took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Meira. Ramiro Meira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 42 minutes into the game, Oscar Gomes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Franquinha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icoara Football Club the free kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zacarias Alves was the one to do the kick off. Iuri Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iuri Ortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Icoara Football Club! Dito Ramos struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ramiro Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Icoara Football Club. After a rather tough play, Franquinha FC's Didi Romero got a free kick in the 57th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Erik Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icoara Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dito Ramos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Ramiro Meira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 63rd minute, Erik Antunes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dito Ramos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Ramiro Meira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dito Ramos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ramiro Meira came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Icoara Football Club's Dito Ramos. But to his dismay, Dito Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Vergílio got free with Ramiro Meira in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erik Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Meira having to interfere. Ramiro Meira was a little too slow when Erik Antunes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 90th minute, Icoara Football Club's Erik Antunes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramiro Meira. Ramiro Meira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Didi Romero hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Icoara Football Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
