Ramiro Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramiro Meira was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Celso Duarte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Celso Duarte really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the last second Ramiro Meira throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jeferson Ortiz in the 12thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Dionísio Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 18 in the game by Romeu Ribeiro from a close distance when the talented Ramiro Meira managed to make a qualified save. Franquinha FC's players were relieved. Romeu Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro Meira having to make a save. Jeferson Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramiro Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Ortiz in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Franquinha FC's zone, Romeu Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Meira came out of the goal and Romeu Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeferson Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramiro Meira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Zacarias Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Natã de Alcântara hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 40 played minutes, Benedito's Edinho Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramiro Meira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Benedito reached it. After 40 minutes of play Franquinha FC's Tiago Madureira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Tiago Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeferson Ortiz in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Meira saved Franquinha FC from getting behind. Franquinha FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Romeu Ribeiro scored to the left of an out of position Ramiro Meira, making the score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeferson Ortiz was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionísio Mandrak in the 53rd minute of play forced Benedito's goalkeeper Tostão Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Romeu Ribeiro put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ramiro Meira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Ribeiro in the 59th minute of play forced Franquinha FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Meira having to interfere. Edinho Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Benedito's Edinho Fonseca got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Romeu Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 minutes, Cléberson Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Franquinha FC and the Benedito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cléberson Pena hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Franquinha FC's zone, Jeferson Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeferson Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ramiro Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benedito. Jeferson Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeferson Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Ramiro Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Benedito players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
