Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Magno Pinheiro kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Humildes defense, Benjamim Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcisio Ribeiro. The Humildes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Ribeiro should have stopped the shot. Nova Descoberta - RN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Israel Segundo in the 7th minute. The supporters of Humildes booed when Nova Descoberta - RN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humildes's Tarcisio Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Varela in the 9th minute of play. Narciso Magalhãess short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Agostinho Mendonça to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Agostinho Mendonça stood somewhat misplaced when Narciso Magalhães came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 11 minute. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Benjamim Varela put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tarcisio Ribeiro. After 17 minutes, Luiz Paulo Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Humildes and the Nova Descoberta - RN players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Paulo Reis hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Benjamim Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Descoberta - RN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamim Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Pinheiro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tarcisio Ribeiro saved Humildes from getting behind. When Jano Passos fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Humildes's protests and gave Jano Passos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute Benjamim Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jano Passos got his second yellow card in the match during the 37th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 38th match minute, Humildes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jano Passos to maneuver through the defense. Tarcisio Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Descoberta - RN's Benjamim Varela. But to his dismay, Benjamim Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. The audience was convinced that Magno Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tarcisio Ribeiro was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Humildes defense, Benjamim Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcisio Ribeiro. The Humildes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Ribeiro should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-7.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Narciso Magalhães made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Tarcisio Ribeiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Nova Descoberta - RN fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Nova Descoberta - RN's Magno Pinheiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Humildes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nova Descoberta - RN:s goal. Narciso Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agostinho Mendonça having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Magno Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tarcisio Ribeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-11. Tarcisio Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamim Varela's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Narciso Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Humildes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Nova Descoberta - RN booed when Humildes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Magno Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Nova Descoberta - RN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. André Luís de Queiroz took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tarcisio Ribeiro. Tarcisio Ribeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-12. Magno Pinheiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tarcisio Ribeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Magno Pinheiro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-13 in the 91st minute. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Magno Pinheiro put it in 1-14 from a short distance just to the right of Tarcisio Ribeiro. Benjamim Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle sounded Nova Descoberta - RN left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Humildes.
