In the 16th minute of the match, Tomé Vinhas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Claudinei Nunes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ediberto Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inhambupe FC's Erivaldo Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Tróia in the 20th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Gilson Leal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inhambupe FC's Erivaldo Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Eduardo Passos hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Coaraci's Claudinei Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Coaraci from getting a goal against them. After 35 played minutes Coaraci got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Passos. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Eduardo Passos during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Coaraci got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Passos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ediberto Lima got free with Claudinei Nunes in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Inhambupe FC's Donato Ferraz got a free kick in the 85th minute. Erivaldo Vieira made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Sandro Tróia sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Coaraci booed when Inhambupe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandro Tróia might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erivaldo Vieira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Coaraci players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
