João Adolfo Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cezar Ivasiuc having to interfere. Cafu Barbosa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Marcelinho Antunes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Edgar Lago struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Marcelinho Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPORT CLUB CAPIXABA. When Raúl Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clara FC's protests and gave Raúl Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Clara FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Raúl Pinho hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Clara FC got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Pirani. Edgar Lago received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcelinho Antunes came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgar Lago slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 27th minute. Alessandro Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Marcelinho Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Clara FC's Marcelinho Antunes got control of the ball when Cafu Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 39 minutes SPORT CLUB CAPIXABA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was André Luís Moraes who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Raúl Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raúl Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cezar Ivasiuc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clara FC's Marcelinho Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Lago in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Adolfo Pirani to strike the kick off in the second half. Cássio Mineiros short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Cezar Ivasiuc to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 52nd minute Edgar Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Marinho during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Lago in the 54th minute of play forced Clara FC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cafu Barbosa in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelinho Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Cássio Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelinho Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessandro Furtado went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. João Adolfo Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SPORT CLUB CAPIXABA getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alessandro Furtado hit a great ball. In the 72nd match minute, SPORT CLUB CAPIXABA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enéas Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Cafu Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho Antunes having to interfere. Cezar Ivasiuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
