Toledos SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goianésia E.C the free kick. The supporters of Goianésia E.C booed when Toledos SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Dadá Montenegro managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Goianésia E.C's Gabi Gol fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Goianésia E.C! Norbert Balonek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ian Peixoto went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 12 minutes of play, Goianésia E.C's Gabi Gol made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dadá Montenegro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute Fred Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabi Gol did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Dadá Montenegro 16 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Gabi Gol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norbert Balonek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. When Richard Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toledos SS's protests and gave Richard Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. Richard Nóbrega hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Evaristo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Norbert Balonek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Toledos SS getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alfredo Figueiredo hit a great ball. Dadá Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evaristo Fonseca made a kick off. Evaristo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Norbert Balonek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Norbert Balonek made a huge save. Dadá Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabi Gol's shot from short distance in the 56th minute.
