Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by D.J. Love in the 3rd minute of play forced Irajai's goalkeeper Washington Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Natalio Betadur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irajai. When Marquinhos Alagoano fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irajai's protests and gave Marquinhos Alagoano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Irajai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Santa Teresa's Teodoro Martxot tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Marquinhos Alagoano got his second yellow card in the match during the 12th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Santa Teresa booed when Irajai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Washington Neto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matheus Gay went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Washington Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from D.J. Love, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santa Teresa's Natalio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo de Medeiros in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Irajai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Augusto Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Augusto Pontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Washington Neto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin da Rocha made a kick off. Washington Neto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Pontes went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Washington Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Gay, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a rather tough play, Santa Teresa's Ed Kowalczyk got a free kick in the 60th minute. Washington Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from D.J. Love in the 65th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, João Francisco Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Gay in the 76th minute of play forced Irajai's goalkeeper Washington Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as João Francisco Amaral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Washington Neto. That made the score 0-6 in the 77 minute of play. Santa Teresa's Batiste Aznar was substituted for Matheus Gay. The crowd rose to their feet as Santa Teresa's D.J. Love slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Washington Neto. That made the score 0-7 after 82 minutes of play. 84 minutes into the match, Irajai's goalkeeper Washington Neto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Pontes. Benjamin da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Washington Neto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Benjamin da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Natalio Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Santa Teresa walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
