Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erasmo Leite started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Benjamin da Rocha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Parahyba's Germano Goiano. Germano Goiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Germano Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Parahyba's zone, Ronaldão Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano Goiano came out of the goal and Ronaldão Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the game, Parahyba's Jeferson Bueno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Washington Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Parahyba's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Guedes came free, but Germano Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Benjamin da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Irajai's Washington Neto got control of the ball when Amílton Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Parahyba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Guerra to maneuver through the defense. After 35 played minutes Parahyba got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Leite. In the 41st minute, Ulysses Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germano Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Guedes in the 45th minute of play. Parahyba's Germano Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin da Rocha in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldão Guedes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronaldão Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Germano Goiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Guedes in the 57th minute of play forced Parahyba's goalkeeper Germano Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Simões during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filipe Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Parahyba's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin da Rocha came free, but Germano Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldão Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Germano Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Amílton Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germano Goiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldão Guedes in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Arí Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parahyba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irajai the free kick. In the 75th minute, Arí Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Irajai getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Vítor Chaves hit a great ball. The supporters of Parahyba booed when Irajai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute of the match, Rômulo de Medeiros tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Germano Goiano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Washington Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
