Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edu Gomes started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, Cangalhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Leão to maneuver through the defense. If Edu Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedito Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio de Toledo in the 15th minute of the match. Edu Gomes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Benedito Koehler 20 minutes into the match. 2-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Edu Gomes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wanderson Travassos during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 31 minutes into the game, one of Cangalhas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Edu Gomes shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Luís Fabiano Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dé Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edu Gomes had several of the Cangalhas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Benedito Koehler as he didn't even see the shot coming. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dé Rossi was the one to do the kick off. If Décio de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Edu Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Benedito Koehler. Cangalhas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. 83 minutes into the game, Edu Gomes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Benedito Koehler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Toninho Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fabiano Cavalcante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cangalhas's goalkeeper Benedito Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Cangalhas's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Gomes came free, but Benedito Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Décio de Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
