The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafa da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Virgilio Argomedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Simão's late challenge caught a Rondoniense SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio Simão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Márcio Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nando Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Britto got free with Virgilio Argomedo in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernardo Britto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Virgilio Argomedo. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. After 13 minutes, Angelo da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rondoniense SC and the S.E Time do Ganso players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Rondoniense SC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo da Silveira. Jeremias Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Argomedo having to interfere. In the 20th minute Horácio de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rondoniense SC's Virgilio Argomedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Rondoniense SC from getting a goal against them. Zé Augusto Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rondoniense SC's zone, Rafa da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Argomedo came out of the goal and Rafa da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amílton do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Augusto Meirelles in the 36th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Bernardo Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Rondoniense SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa da Costa came free, but Virgilio Argomedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Jeremias Guerra made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rondoniense SC booed when S.E Time do Ganso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amílton do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Meirelles in the 57th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Augusto Meirelles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amílton do Nascimento. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. After 61 minutes, Nando Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rondoniense SC and the S.E Time do Ganso players grew even worse after the yellow card. With 63 minutes on the clock, Bagong Gumelar commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Rondoniense SC's Bagong Gumelar got a free kick in the 64th minute. Bernardo Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Argomedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeremias Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Argomedo having to interfere. A collision led to Rondoniense SC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Doriva Brodel hit a great ball. Bernardo Britto struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Virgilio Argomedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E Time do Ganso. Manoel Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Nando Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, S.E Time do Ganso's Amílton do Nascimento got control of the ball when Nando Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line.
