David Severijnse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Fabrício Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 11 minutes, Giuseppe Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarapiranga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Guarapiranga's Giuseppe Veloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wiliam Vinhas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Guarapiranga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Andrade to maneuver through the defense. David Severijnse struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fabrício Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espiãs. Fabrício Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when David Abad sent off a good shot on target. Wiliam Vinhas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giuseppe Veloso went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Giuseppe Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Prata during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Guarapiranga booed when Espiãs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Giuseppe Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Abad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Fabrício Queiroz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Giuseppe Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Vinhas having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Prestes in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrício Queiroz saved Guarapiranga from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Rony Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Botelho in the 43rd minute of play forced Espiãs's goalkeeper Wiliam Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Décio Trevisan during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guarapiranga fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Fabrício Queiroz, was totally fooled by Espiãs's Diego Prestes, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giuseppe Veloso was the one to do the kick off. Diego Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, David Severijnse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espiãs's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Severijnse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabrício Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Abad in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Espiãs's zone, Giuseppe Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wiliam Vinhas came out of the goal and Giuseppe Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Guarapiranga's Rafa Correia got a free kick in the 82nd minute. It was beautiful to see Espiãs's Diego Prestes in action when he in the 84th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! A collision led to Espiãs getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ediberto Barreto hit a great ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Giuseppe Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarapiranga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guarapiranga's Fabrício Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Abad in the 92nd minute of play. Fabrício Queiroz came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Espiãs's David Abad. But to his dismay, David Abad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Espiãs walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
