An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Aguiar in the 15th minute of play forced Campeche FC's goalkeeper Nilson Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Abel Braga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hílton Maciel was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. If Samuca Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Campeche FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Daniel Sá hit a great ball. João Carlos Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Carlos Botelho made a kick off. Nilson Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Aguiar in the 53rd minute of play. After 56 played minutes Nelsinho Brodel rounded Tocaia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Daniel Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelsinho Brodel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hílton Maciel having to make a save. Fernandinho Bertassi hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Abel Braga shot from long distance in the 72nd minute, but Hílton Maciel was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 74 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tocaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campeche FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Tocaia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Campeche FC:s goal. Tocaia:s Hílton Maciel showed great skill when he stopped Abel Braga:s penalty. After a rather tough play, Tocaia's Fernandinho Bertassi got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tocaia's zone, Abel Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Maciel came out of the goal and Abel Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nilson Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Capixaba in the 90th minute of play. Daniel Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hílton Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuca Soeiro got free with Hílton Maciel in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Campeche FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tocaia throughout the match.
