After a defensive mix-up in Tocaia's zone, Natanael Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Maciel came out of the goal and Natanael Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natanael Cosme took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Maciel. Hílton Maciel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 11 played minutes Tocaia got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Capixaba. Maranhão 18 FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sandro Capixaba 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Sandro Capixaba scored 2-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danilo Mandrak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maranhão 18 FC's Danilo Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Garcia in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Maranhão 18 FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Botelho came free, but Danilo Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Mandrak was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Hortêncio Aguiar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hortêncio Aguiar really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Hílton Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Natanael Cosme put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hílton Maciel. In the 38th minute João Carlos Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, João Carlos Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tocaia's supporters rose to their feet, but João Carlos Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hortêncio Aguiar got free with Danilo Mandrak in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Roberto Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danilo Mandrak made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Sandro Capixaba sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
55 minutes into the match, Maranhão 18 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Capixaba came free, but Danilo Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Maranhão 18 FC defense, João Carlos Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danilo Mandrak. The Maranhão 18 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danilo Mandrak should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tocaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maranhão 18 FC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Zé Roberto Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Botelho in the 65th minute of play. When Zé Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maranhão 18 FC's protests and gave Zé Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Maranhão 18 FC's Zé Prestes got a free kick in the 65th minute. Danilo Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Botelho in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Maranhão 18 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Capixaba came free, but Danilo Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Maranhão 18 FC's Zé Prestes got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Danilo Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Zé Roberto Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tocaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Roberto Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sandro Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Tocaia's Hortêncio Aguiar got a free kick in the 88th minute. Danilo Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Botelho in the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, João Carlos Botelho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Danilo Mandrak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 95 minutes of play, Tocaia's João Carlos Botelho made it 8-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Mandrak was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Tocaia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
