Gears of War MZT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dinei Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Sá in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Gears of War MZT booed when King Cobra FC - Stand By was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elano Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitinho Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Elano Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Dito Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinei Sá scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elano Motta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Sá in the 30th minute of play forced Gears of War MZT's goalkeeper Elano Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitinho Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Motta having to interfere. After 39 played minutes King Cobra FC - Stand By got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Sampaio. Zé Paulo Breckenfeld acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedrinho Guimarães. After a defensive mix-up in Gears of War MZT's zone, Vitinho Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Motta came out of the goal and Vitinho Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elano Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho Tasso in the 46th minute of play. After 47 played minutes King Cobra FC - Stand By got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Sá. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Gears of War MZT booed when King Cobra FC - Stand By was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitinho Tasso got free with Elano Motta in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilmar Gaspar charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilmar Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Hudson Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elano Motta made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Vitinho Tasso sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Gears of War MZT's Mateus Ferreira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mateus Ferreira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gears of War MZT protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mateus Ferreira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 0-5 came through a penalty shot after 77 played minutes, when King Cobra FC - Stand By:s Gilmar Gaspar calmly waited for Gears of War MZT:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Vitinho Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Motta having to interfere. Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Sá in the 84th minute of play. Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Gears of War MZT from getting a goal against them. When Pedrinho Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gears of War MZT's protests and gave Pedrinho Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. Pedrinho Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match Gilmar Gaspar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elano Motta skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Gears of War MZT getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jonas Almeida hit a great ball. With his leg Elano Motta managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when King Cobra FC - Stand By's Vitinho Tasso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta got control of the ball when Vitinho Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd match minute, Gears of War MZT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Teles to maneuver through the defense.
