After 14 played minutes, Pe de Sabão FC's Narciso Seco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elano Motta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pe de Sabão FC reached it. The supporters of Pe de Sabão FC booed when Gears of War MZT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Gears of War MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Urbano came free, but Elano Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Eusébio Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Narciso Seco took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elano Motta. Elano Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Andrézinho Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Gears of War MZT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Rosa to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Pe de Sabão FC's Narciso Seco broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zé Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Wiliam Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Gears of War MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Seco came free, but Elano Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When Pedrinho Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Gears of War MZT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrinho Guimarães couldn't finish the play. Tiago Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Percival Prata went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the game, Wiliam Rosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gears of War MZT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pe de Sabão FC the free kick.
