In the 6th minute of the match, Osvaldo Soares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Duda Pena was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arlindo de Amorim got free with Duda Pena in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, BIRUTI FC's Duda Pena got control of the ball when Bora Biil tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 16 played minutes BIRUTI FC got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Varela. In the 17th minute, Erik Sanches got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duda Pena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Soares went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Mundial FC's Vladislav Samsonov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Ferreira in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of BIRUTI FC booed when Mundial FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. BIRUTI FC's Duda Pena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save BIRUTI FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Erik Sanches took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Duda Pena to make any attempt to save it. Benjamin Ferreira scored 2-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladislav Samsonov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vladislav Samsonov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Tião de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Ismael Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes BIRUTI FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Alves. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Soares was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the BIRUTI FC defense, Osvaldo Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duda Pena. The BIRUTI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duda Pena should have stopped the shot. Tião de Alcântara lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in BIRUTI FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! Agostinho Mendes shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Duda Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bora Biil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Benjamin Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the BIRUTI FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Ferreira couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Luizinho Varela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldo Soares struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Duda Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mundial FC. 71 minutes into the game, Bora Biil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mundial FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BIRUTI FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, BIRUTI FC's Benjamin Ferreira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bora Biil in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duda Pena saved BIRUTI FC from getting behind. In the 82nd minute, Osvaldo Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Erik Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duda Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bora Biil in the 88th minute of play. Duda Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bora Biil in the 89th minute of play. Duda Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Sanches in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Erik Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the BIRUTI FC defense, Osvaldo Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duda Pena. The BIRUTI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duda Pena should have stopped the shot. In the 98th minute, Agostinho Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mundial FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
