But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davi Xavier couldn't finish the play. Dedé Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Cristóvão Alvarenga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torre's Dedé Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dedé Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Cavalcante in the 9th minute of the match. Discovery were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Torre's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Michalis Villas took the corner. After taking down the ball on Discovery's corner Michalis Villas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dedé Ceresso quite easily take care of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Torre's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Alvarenga came free, but Dedé Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Cristóvão Alvarenga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Discovery fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Godfredo Teodor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cássio Galvão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 24 minute of play. Aníbal Ribeiro hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 31stth minute of the game Ian Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torre's Dedé Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Discovery's Cristóvão Alvarenga in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Galvão to strike the kick off in the second half. Davi Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Teodor having to interfere. In the 56thth minute of the game Ian Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Torre's Dedé Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Sílvio Luiz de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Discovery's Godfredo Teodor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Galvão in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Torre's goalkeeper Dedé Ceresso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristóvão Alvarenga succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 64th playminute. Dedé Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Patrekur Hákonsson sent off a good shot on target. Dedé Ceresso stood somewhat misplaced when Cristóvão Alvarenga came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 71 minute. Cristóvão Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Dedé Ceresso made a huge save. Torre's Dedé Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrekur Hákonsson in the 79th minute of play. After 83 played minutes Ian Cavalcante rounded Torre's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrekur Hákonsson in the 87th minute of play forced Torre's goalkeeper Dedé Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Cássio Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Teodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristóvão Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Dedé Ceresso made a huge save. Aníbal Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Torre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aníbal Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Aníbal Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Davi Xavier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godfredo Teodor skillfully saved the ball. Dedé Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrekur Hákonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Discovery supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Discovery would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
