Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ademar Cabral scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldir Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute, Betão Neves made a precise shot to the right of Waldir Garcia. Recife Pe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Marcos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Trembolona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Santos couldn't finish the play. Thomás Costa did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Carlinhos Furlan 21 minutes into the match. Cristiano Vianna hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Betão Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trembolona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Betão Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Recife Pe booed when Trembolona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredão Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Marcos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trembolona's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão Neves in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Trembolona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Neves to maneuver through the defense. Ademar Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomás Costa was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 56 in the game by Betão Neves from a close distance when the talented Waldir Garcia managed to make a qualified save. Recife Pe's players were relieved. Betão Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Betão Neves sped through Recife Pe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waldir Garcia. In the 65th minute Ademar Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betão Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Waldir Garcia made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Recife Pe's goalkeeper Waldir Garcia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Betão Neves. Waldir Garcia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Santos went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Waldir Garcia came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Trembolona's Betão Neves. But to his dismay, Betão Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Eduardo Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlinhos Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trembolona played a much better game than Recife Pe and deserved their victory. The Recife Pe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
