Waldir Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Waldir Garcia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute, Luiz Paulo Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Recife Pe's zone, Mauro Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Garcia came out of the goal and Mauro Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Paulo Alcântara came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Waldir Garcia could save by the left post. Waldir Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Silveira in the 36th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristiano Silveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Waldir Garcia. That made the score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Triplo Malte F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Maia came free, but Sílvio Luiz Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Triplo Malte F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Allan Guimarães came free, but Sílvio Luiz Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomás Costa made a kick off. Waldir Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Cristiano Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Mauro Mineiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Triplo Malte F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 66 minutes into the match, Luiz Paulo Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldir Garcia. Recife Pe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Paulo Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Cristiano Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Garcia having to interfere. Waldir Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Thomás Costa took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Sílvio Luiz Ramalho to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Triplo Malte F.C.'s Mauro Mineiro got a free kick in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Triplo Malte F.C.'s Fumo Becke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldir Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. 88 minutes into the match, Triplo Malte F.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Ramalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomás Costa. In the 89th minute, Mauro Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Mauro Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 played minutes Recife Pe got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Loyola.
