The tension between the Leônico Monte Serrat and the Imbiara EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Montez Font kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Montez Font in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edvaldo Guedes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 21 minutes, Genílson Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imbiara EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genílson Netto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Imbiara EC's Edvaldo Guedes got control of the ball when Fred Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edvaldo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Lopes in the 35th minute of the match. Montez Font fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Guedes having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Imbiara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Costa to maneuver through the defense. If Genílson Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Edvaldo Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Genílson Netto made the kick off in the second half. Imbiara EC's Edvaldo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willian Lopes in the 52nd minute of play. Emerson Souto's late challenge caught a Leônico Monte Serrat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Souto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Imbiara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Souto to maneuver through the defense. Giuseppe de Senna's late challenge caught a Leônico Monte Serrat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giuseppe de Senna helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Imbiara EC's Giuseppe de Senna got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Imbiara EC's zone, Willian Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Guedes came out of the goal and Willian Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Imbiara EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Leônico Monte Serrat:s goal. Giuseppe de Senna was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 75th minute, Giuseppe de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montez Font scored 3-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edvaldo Guedes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Lopes in the 80th minute of play forced Imbiara EC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Imbiara EC fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Imbiara EC's Genílson Netto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
