The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulão Pombal got free with Severino Monteiro in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilvan Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Richard Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FUSÂO NORTE FC's Severino Monteiro got control of the ball when Júlio Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th match minute, FUSÂO NORTE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Araújo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Maceió Ice Dragons's zone, Gilvan Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Ferraz came out of the goal and Gilvan Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richard Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Souto in the 29th minute of play. Luís Paulo Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Maceió Ice Dragons's Luís Paulo Dias got a free kick in the 31st minute. Severino Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Paulão Pombal sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in FUSÂO NORTE FC's zone, Júlio Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Monteiro came out of the goal and Júlio Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th match minute, FUSÂO NORTE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Meira to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulão Pombal to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Luís Paulo Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Meira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Richard Ferraz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gilvan Souto in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Richard Ferraz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gilvan Souto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Richard Ferraz made a huge save. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maceió Ice Dragons fans cheered their team off the field, for while FUSÂO NORTE FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
