Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when André Luiz Pernambucano took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5th play minutes André Luiz Pernambucano shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Artur da Cunha and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Sem Esperança getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Julian Klæboe hit a great ball. Artur da Cunha came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Vasco Mineiro FC's André Luiz Pernambucano. But to his dismay, André Luiz Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 11 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Maia threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sem Esperança's Romário Varela quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 16thth minute of the game André Luiz Pernambucano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sem Esperança's Artur da Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Luiz Pernambucano went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Klæboe in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Moura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Vasco Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Klæboe came free, but Eduardo Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Silvinho Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasco Mineiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Sem Esperança made a substitution. Marcos de Almeida replaced Leopoldo Lira. Sem Esperança's Máximo Branca was substituted for Julian Klæboe. In the 54th minute, Máximo Branca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Moura was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The supporters of Vasco Mineiro FC booed when Sem Esperança was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chuck Liddel didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máximo Branca in the 64th minute of play forced Vasco Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Sem Esperança got a corner. Vasco Mineiro FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Paulo Leite ran over to the corner to take the kick. Afonso Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Eduardo Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Máximo Branca went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute, Máximo Branca made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Moura. Vasco Mineiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. In the 84th minute Toninho Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Máximo Branca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduardo Moura. Vasco Mineiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Máximo Branca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Máximo Branca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sem Esperança's supporters rose to their feet, but Máximo Branca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máximo Branca in the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of Vasco Mineiro FC booed when Sem Esperança was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes, Vasco Mineiro FC's Alessandro Vander shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Artur da Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vasco Mineiro FC reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Vasco Mineiro FC's Alessandro Vander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artur da Cunha. That made the score 5-4 after 95 minutes of play.
