In the 10th match minute, G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Evaristo Vander had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Faouzi Fergani's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Rapid SA's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Zanette came free, but Reynaldo Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Marcelo Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Vlajko Marotić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vlajko Marotić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evaristo Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Moisés Arósio fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapid SA's protests and gave Moisés Arósio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Moisés Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vlajko Marotić scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evaristo Vander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE defense, Vlajko Marotić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evaristo Vander. The G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Vander should have stopped the shot. Evaristo Vander came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid SA's Vlajko Marotić. But to his dismay, Vlajko Marotić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vlajko Marotić made a kick off. Vlajko Marotić might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Vander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vlajko Marotić ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Vlajko Marotić got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE's Evaristo Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting a goal against them. Vlajko Marotić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vlajko Marotić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vlajko Marotić scored 0-5 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evaristo Vander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE defense, Rômulo Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evaristo Vander. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moisés Arósio got free with Evaristo Vander in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th match minute, Rapid SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Arósio to maneuver through the defense. Rapid SA's Eliézer de Senna was substituted for Rômulo Carvalho. After a rather tough play, Rapid SA's Moisés Arósio got a free kick in the 78th minute. A hard shot 81 in the game by Claudinho Cearense from a close distance when the talented Evaristo Vander managed to make a qualified save. G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE's players were relieved. 82 minutes into the game, Cássio Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rapid SA the free kick. Cássio Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of Rapid SA booed when G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Víktor Barros sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Evaristo Vander threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Víktor Barros this time. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Vlajko Marotić got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot 87 in the game by Vlajko Marotić from a close distance when the talented Evaristo Vander managed to make a qualified save. G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Vlajko Marotić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapid SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Vlajko Marotić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Vander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rapid SA:s goal. The goalkeeper, Evaristo Vander, was totally fooled by Rapid SA's Vlajko Marotić, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 99 minutes, Vlajko Marotić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vlajko Marotić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rapid SA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
