Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eriberto Abreu started the match with the kick off. When Cauã Marques came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Mixto Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauã Marques couldn't finish the play. Ettore Pennetta made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Cauã Marques sent off a good shot on target. Antônio Carlos Travassos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armandinho Alvarenga's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. If Edinho Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ettore Pennetta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Bingen in the 19th minute of play. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Cauã Marques sped through S.E.Palmeiras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ettore Pennetta. Victor Silveira struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Antônio Carlos Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.Palmeiras. In the 32nd minute, Delmiro Bingen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cauã Marques got free with Ettore Pennetta in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Szilárd Lengyel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.Palmeiras's zone, Cauã Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ettore Pennetta came out of the goal and Cauã Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cauã Marques made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Ulysses Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to S.E.Palmeiras getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Enzo Caccia hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Bingen in the 69th minute of play forced S.E.Palmeiras's goalkeeper Ettore Pennetta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Cauã Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mixto Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauã Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enzo Caccia was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 85th match minute, S.E.Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stevan Pezo to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes S.E.Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Abreu. 92 minutes into the match, Cauã Marques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ettore Pennetta. S.E.Palmeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cauã Marques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Mixto Esporte Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
