Aratuipe's supporters rose to their feet, but Vânderson Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remo Dantas's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 85th minute of the match Aratuipe got a corner. R10MAGICO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The Aratuipe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-8. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ionel Chiuzbaian during the 96th minute.
