Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andrézinho Tinoco took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Andrézinho Tinoco notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Linhares FC's Toninho Barros. Toninho Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Donato Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Linhares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Tinoco came free, but Toninho Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Andrézinho Tinoco notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Linhares FC's Toninho Barros. Toninho Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Douradinho EC's Jano Hoffmann quite brazenly broke a throw-in by César de Carvalho, made in the 19th minute of the game. Elias Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Sena notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Douradinho EC's Elias Sousa. Elias Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Linhares FC booed when Douradinho EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Andrézinho Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, João Francisco Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linhares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Oswaldo Sena made the kick off in the second half. Sandrinho Galvão hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Bittencourt in the 62nd minute of play forced Linhares FC's goalkeeper Toninho Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Baiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donato Baiano ran back to his position shaking his head. Elias Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Baiano in the 66th minute of the match. Elias Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donato Baiano's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The Linhares FC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Linhares FC's Donato Baiano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 72 minutes into the match, Douradinho EC's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Sena came free, but Elias Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes Douradinho EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luizão Cosme who took care of the corner kick. César de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Elias Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geraldo Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Reynaldo de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 minutes, Reynaldo de Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Douradinho EC and the Linhares FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes, Linhares FC's César de Carvalho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elias Sousa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Linhares FC reached it. Elias Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswaldo Sena's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When the referee ended the match the Linhares FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
