Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oswaldo Sena started the match with the kick off. Evaristo Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Braga in the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betão de Barros in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toninho Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romeu Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Barros having to interfere. Toninho Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betão de Barros in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão de Barros in the 15th minute of play forced Linhares FC's goalkeeper Toninho Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Receba Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Linhares FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Roberto Maia took the corner. When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, Receba Futebol Clube's Zé Roberto Maia got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Toninho Barros. Receba Futebol Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Roberto Maia in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Antônio Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Toninho Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oswaldo Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Antônio Faria sped through Linhares FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Toninho Barros. Betão de Barros had several of the Linhares FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-0 score and a disappointed Toninho Barros as he didn't even see the shot coming. 6-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Antônio Faria elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Linhares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Betão de Barros came free, but Toninho Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Faria was the one to do the kick off. Toninho Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio Faria's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Evaristo Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54thth minute of the game Antônio Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linhares FC's Toninho Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Linhares FC's Toninho Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão de Barros in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Faria in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toninho Barros saved Linhares FC from getting behind. After 61 minutes of play, Receba Futebol Clube's Betão de Barros made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toninho Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute, Zé Roberto Maia sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Linhares FC's Toninho Barros didn't even have to move. Zé Roberto Maia's late challenge caught a Linhares FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Roberto Maia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, Receba Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Maia to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Antônio Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 minutes of play, Receba Futebol Clube's Antônio Faria made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toninho Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there!
