Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bala Halls took the kick off in the first half of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Operario EC's goal looked a bit too open when Bala Halls came free, but João Augusto Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 minutes of play, Rodeiro's Bala Halls made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Augusto Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bala Halls charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bala Halls the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Operario EC booed when Rodeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bala Halls didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bala Halls in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Augusto Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Augusto Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bala Halls in the 15th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Operario EC's Fabian Barthez threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvério Lima, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Charles Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Fabian Barthez made a huge save. Fabian Barthez was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Charles Silva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Charles Silva really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 28th minute Bala Halls shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Antônio Carlos Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Ali Hamza Nursal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Rodeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Lima came free, but Fabian Barthez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Barthez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Marquez in the 39th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvério Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Barthez having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernani Marquez to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Francisco Koehler got free with João Augusto Jacinto in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bala Halls in the 54th minute of play forced Operario EC's goalkeeper João Augusto Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antônio Carlos Toscano scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Barthez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Francisco Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Rodeiro getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Pires hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Operario EC's Caio Gaúcho got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Rodeiro were awarded a corner. Carlinhos Sabóia went to the cornerflag to take it. João Augusto Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Francisco Koehler in the 81st minute. Fabian Barthez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Toscano in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Ali Hamza Nursal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernani Marquez succeeded in the game's 86th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernani Marquez in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Barthez saved Rodeiro from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Charles Silva notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Rodeiro's Fabian Barthez. Fabian Barthez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Operario EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
