Rive's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Skulls the free kick. Rodolfo Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Gilmar Toledo made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Nando Donatello sent off a good shot on target. 7 minutes into the match, Rive's goalkeeper Gilmar Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando Donatello. In the 11th minute, Nando Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 13 minutes, Cleiton da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rive and the Red Skulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Rive got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton da Silveira. Pere Beloki did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Gilmar Toledo 17 minutes into the match. Nando Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Gilmar Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Rive's goal looked a bit too open when Pere Beloki came free, but Gilmar Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eduardo Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Rive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Baptista couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizinho Cardozo during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rive's Luizinho Cardozo got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pere Beloki in the 34th minute of play forced Rive's goalkeeper Gilmar Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Nando Donatello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilmar Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Frank Bello's late challenge caught a Rive's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Bello helped the player get up and apologised. Rodolfo Siqueira got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 40 played minutes Rive got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Siqueira. Gilmar Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pere Beloki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilmar Toledo made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Nando Donatello sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nando Donatello to make the kick off. Gilmar Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Bello in the 51st minute of play. Gilmar Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pere Beloki went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Gilmar Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pere Beloki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Frank Bello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Gilmar Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilmar Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pere Beloki in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Frank Bello notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Rive's Gilmar Toledo. Gilmar Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nilmar Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Rive's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Donatello came free, but Gilmar Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Frank Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Pere Beloki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilmar Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Gilmar Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pere Beloki in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Pere Beloki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Skulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. When Eduardo Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rive's protests and gave Eduardo Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th match minute, Rive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Gilmar Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Bello, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Gilmar Toledo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Red Skulls's Pere Beloki shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Rive's Gilmar Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Donatello in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Red Skulls fully deserved thier win.
