Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vasco Ipameri's Donato Penha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Augusto Lorencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Rogério Ceni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Augusto Lorencio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AllBlack fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. AllBlack's Iordache Ciupe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Penha in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Vasco Ipameri booed when AllBlack was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Severo went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Iordache Ciupe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Penha in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute Fausto Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Vasco Ipameri defense, Dedê Mota kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Ceni. The Vasco Ipameri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Ceni should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute of the match, Donato Penha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iordache Ciupe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 42 played minutes AllBlack got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Breckenfeld. Felipe Maia, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Augusto Lorencio struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Rogério Ceni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AllBlack. After the first half AllBlack were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Augusto Lorencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. AllBlack's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Lorencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Ceni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th match minute, Vasco Ipameri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Silveira to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Fernando Sotomayor managed to get in a good position for a shot. AllBlack's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Sotomayor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Ceni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute, Fausto Severo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AllBlack fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 72 minutes into the game, Augusto Lorencio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogério Ceni. Augusto Lorencio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Sílvio Luís Tepedino lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 82nd match minute, Vasco Ipameri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco Ipameri's zone, Naldo Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Ceni came out of the goal and Naldo Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th match minute, Vasco Ipameri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Rogério Ceni came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by AllBlack's Fernando Sotomayor. But to his dismay, Fernando Sotomayor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Lorencio in the 93rd minute of play.
