The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Dependiente del Alcool's zone, Jaime de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho Mangueira came out of the goal and Jaime de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Mangueira having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Dependiente del Alcool's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jaime de Queiroz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jaime de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pedrinho Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dependiente del Alcool's Pedrinho Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime de Queiroz in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Dadá Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedrinho Mangueira. Dependiente del Alcool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dadá Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 27 played minutes Dependiente del Alcool got a freekick which was hit by Betinho Capixaba. Eliézer Pena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 莫轩坚 went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Betinho Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer Pena having to interfere. Jaime de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Mangueira having to interfere. Betinho Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliézer Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franciszek Pionek in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime de Queiroz made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, 莫轩坚 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Eliézer Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Caraguatei's Luís Fábio Rodrigues got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Pedro Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dependiente del Alcool's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliézer Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caraguatei's Eliézer Pena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Caraguatei from getting a goal against them. Jaime de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Dadá Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, 莫轩坚 notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Caraguatei's Eliézer Pena. Eliézer Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 莫轩坚 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eliézer Pena came out and tried to block the shot, but 莫轩坚 slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 81st minute. 莫轩坚 struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Eliézer Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dependiente del Alcool. After a rather tough play, Caraguatei's Isaltino Pontes got a free kick in the 88th minute. 莫轩坚 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Eliézer Pena made a huge save. The supporters of Caraguatei booed when Dependiente del Alcool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Caraguatei getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Battal Gazi Hürmüz hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dependiente del Alcool walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
