If João Carlos Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes, Luís Fábio Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caraguatei and the Floresta EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Fábio Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Bernardinho de Toledo made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Caraguatei's Eliézer Pena tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Battal Gazi Hürmüz's late challenge caught a Floresta EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Battal Gazi Hürmüz helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Caraguatei defense, João Carlos Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliézer Pena. The Caraguatei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliézer Pena should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, Eumaios Trampakoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ball Bender showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Battal Gazi Hürmüz in the 40th minute of the match. When Zé Roberto Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Floresta EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Roberto Trigo couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the match, Wilson Figueiredo notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Caraguatei's Eliézer Pena. Eliézer Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson Figueiredo to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernardinho de Toledo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Dadá Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliézer Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Hoffmann in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Bernardinho de Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliézer Pena was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. João Carlos Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Eliézer Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Caraguatei's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho de Toledo came free, but Eliézer Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Floresta EC's goalkeeper Ball Bender had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Battal Gazi Hürmüz. Rafa Ferreira hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Bernardinho de Toledo took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliézer Pena. Eliézer Pena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho de Toledo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliézer Pena saved Caraguatei from getting behind. If Bernardinho de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliézer Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Figueiredo in the 91st minute of play. João Carlos Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Eliézer Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliézer Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Hoffmann in the 98th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Floresta EC were the better team. Floresta EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
