In the 8th minute Charles Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcel Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Padronal's Marcel Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Cavalcante in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Tadeu Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edinho Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddy Angelsø in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Shadow FC's Charles Cavalcante got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Bernardinho Laguna came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Padronal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Laguna couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute Nestor Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Padronal's Bernardinho Laguna in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shadow FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st match minute, Padronal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Pereira to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 35 minutes, Freddy Angelsø managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Padronal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Angelsø was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Raphael Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Padronal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Pereira couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho Laguna in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edinho Baptista saved Shadow FC from getting behind. In the 45th minute of the match Padronal got a corner. Shadow FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raphael Pereira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardinho Laguna made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Mandrak in the 52nd minute of play forced Padronal's goalkeeper Marcel Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jano Secco hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Shadow FC's Nestor Ramos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcel Passos. That made the score 1-1 after 54 minutes of play. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shadow FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Raphael Pereira was slow to take the kick. During this time Padronal's players had a chance to rest. Padronal's Raphael Pereira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edinho Baptista in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tadeu Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Passos having to interfere. Jack Vegas kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Nestor Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Jack Vegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Laguna in the 75th minute of play forced Shadow FC's goalkeeper Edinho Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Bernardinho Laguna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Shadow FC's zone, Bernardinho Laguna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edinho Baptista came out of the goal and Bernardinho Laguna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th match minute, Shadow FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fernando Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fernando Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, one of Shadow FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shadow FC. The referee gave Padronal a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Freddy Angelsø, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Shadow FC's Edinho Baptista. 3-1. After a rather tough play, Padronal's Antônio Mattos got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Nestor Ramos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Shadow FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Padronal's Marcel Passos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Padronal from getting a goal against them. Shadow FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
