In the 38th minute, ATlético C.M.'s Valdomiro Recife ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juvenal Leme. Juvenal Leme yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Juvenal Leme was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Marquez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 45 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Juvenal Leme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. ATlético C.M.'s Valdomiro Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Valdomiro Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Marquez struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Juvenal Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATlético C.M..
