The supporters of Tormenta booed when ACD Potiguar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, ACD Potiguar's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Cabral came free, but Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Leo Martens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Martens in the 19th minute of play forced ACD Potiguar's goalkeeper Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Rocchi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Leo Martens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ACD Potiguar's Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th match minute, Tormenta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Arana to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Harkaitz hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, ACD Potiguar's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Cabral came free, but Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leo Martens came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Tormenta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Martens couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Ciro Cabral notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ACD Potiguar's Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro. Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Tormenta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciro Cabral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jonas Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. ACD Potiguar's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magno de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ACD Potiguar's Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save ACD Potiguar from getting a goal against them. Magno de Senna came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by ACD Potiguar's Jonas Carneiro. But to his dismay, Jonas Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tormenta's Borys Bentkowski was substituted for Leo Martens. Tormenta made a substitution. Adilson Brito replaced Flavio Rocchi. Borys Bentkowski in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to ACD Potiguar getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Bruninho Toledo hit a great ball. Magno de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Harold Kant was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of ACD Potiguar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tormenta:s goal. If Rolf Tangemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute Ciro Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Pietro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Cabral's shot from short distance in the 97th minute.
