Valdomiro Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Valdomiro Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarías Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Florentino Cedro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 26 minutes into the match, SC Conceição's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Ecobescu came free, but Flávio Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragoş Ecobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gigel Toacsen charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gigel Toacsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute of the match Márcio Moraes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flávio Terra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Flávio Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Ecobescu in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Nevares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SC Conceição's zone, Kauã Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Terra came out of the goal and Kauã Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 minutes Atlético Acreano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zacarías Batistuta who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Nevares got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Valdomiro Esteves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 55 minutes into the game, Cristian Nevares lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Valdomiro Esteves. If Florentino Cedro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Atlético Acreano's goalkeeper Valdomiro Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florentino Cedro. Valdomiro Esteves made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Zacarías Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Nevares came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Valdomiro Esteves could save by the left post. Fu Yuan Wei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdomiro Esteves having to make a save. In the 81st minute Dragoş Ecobescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdomiro Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Cedro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Conceição! Flávio Terra had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Márcio Moraes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Flávio Terra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dragoş Ecobescu's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. SC Conceição's Zacarías Batistuta came free and shot a quick shot against goal 89 minutes in the game, fortunately Valdomiro Esteves had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After 90 minutes Atlético Acreano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zacarías Batistuta who took care of the corner kick. Dragoş Ecobescu took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Terra. Flávio Terra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
