When Raí Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the M0RF1G4Z fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí Abraão couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, René Descartes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucas Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. M0RF1G4Z's Alfredão do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Abreu in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Internacional de Almagro getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Washington Lago hit a great ball. Alfredão do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Lima in the 32nd minute of play forced M0RF1G4Z's goalkeeper Alfredão do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredão do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Abreu in the 37th minute of play forced M0RF1G4Z's goalkeeper Alfredão do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, M0RF1G4Z's Keijo Mina got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 43 played minutes, Internacional de Almagro's Washington Lago shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredão do Nascimento came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Internacional de Almagro reached it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Belmiro Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celso Botello hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Washington Lago was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 55th minute Belmiro Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Raí Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Gaspar in the 87th minute of play forced M0RF1G4Z's goalkeeper Alfredão do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Internacional de Almagro's Washington Lago got a free kick in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Internacional de Almagro's goal looked a bit too open when René Descartes came free, but Lucas Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Botello kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
