Yan Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Yan Zonta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xande Gay was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 13 minutes Sport Club Mavericks's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dito Lara who took care of the corner kick. Cícero Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Nando Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's Timmy Zander got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Yan Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporte Clube Pilar's supporters rose to their feet, but Yan Zonta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xande Gay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddy Cordarrell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Victor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute Freddy Cordarrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Victor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Cordarrell in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Cordarrell in the 31st minute of play forced Esporte Clube Pilar's goalkeeper Paulo Victor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Zonta in the 33rd minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Xande Gay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Sport Club Mavericks's Freddy Cordarrell made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Victor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulo Victor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Cordarrell in the 43rd minute of play. In the 43rdth minute of the game Freddy Cordarrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esporte Clube Pilar's Paulo Victor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fellipe Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Dito Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zézinho Lopez to strike the kick off in the second half. Sport Club Mavericks's Alejandro Adrio was substituted for Adrianinho Couto. Sport Club Mavericks's Pavlo Kotyuk was substituted for Alfredão Paiva. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudemiro Fragoso in the 61st minute of the match. The Sport Club Mavericks fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Sport Club Mavericks's Zézinho Lopez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Claudemiro Fragoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Victor having to interfere. A throw-in in the 68th minute of the game was made by Dráuzio Valadares with Yan Zonta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 75 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Pilar's goal looked a bit too open when Claudemiro Fragoso came free, but Paulo Victor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Claudemiro Fragoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xande Gay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Zonta in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Pilar's goal looked a bit too open when Claudemiro Fragoso came free, but Paulo Victor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudemiro Fragoso in the 83rd minute of play forced Esporte Clube Pilar's goalkeeper Paulo Victor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Moura got a throw-in 85 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cícero Braga. After some careless play in the Esporte Clube Pilar defense, Claudemiro Fragoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Victor. The Esporte Clube Pilar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Victor should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sport Club Mavericks fans cheered their team off the field, for while Esporte Clube Pilar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
