João Adolfo Rosa came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Emanuel Vigil. But to his dismay, Emanuel Vigil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 35 minutes of play, Clube Atlético Impávido's Stig-Arne Ekström made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barra Gol was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stig-Arne Ekström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Emanuel Vigil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PEÇONHENTO FC MG and the Clube Atlético Impávido players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Clube Atlético Impávido booed when PEÇONHENTO FC MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Vigil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Pedro de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Stig-Arne Ekström took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barra Gol. Barra Gol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Fabiano Munhoz was substituted for Fernandinho Galvão. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Peter Paul Crouch was substituted for Emanuel Vigil. In the 77th match minute, Clube Atlético Impávido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Pedro de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Peter Paul Crouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Adolfo Rosa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Richard Boschker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Impávido's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Boschker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barra Gol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Adolfo Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Paul Crouch in the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Peter Paul Crouch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Paul Crouch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute Richard Boschker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barra Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelsinho Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Waldemar Niedziela hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute of the match Edward Kisielka sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barra Gol skillfully saved the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
