In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meia Ronda's goalkeeper Didi Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Real Soccer FC's Michel Lukaku in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Meia Ronda's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Lukaku came free, but Didi Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Meia Ronda getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rony Mattos hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the game, Saturnino Erruki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meia Ronda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Soccer FC the free kick. Saturnino Erruki hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes, Michel Lukaku made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Meia Ronda's Didi Lima tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Renato Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Berger in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Meia Ronda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Meia Ronda's Didi Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szczepan Podolski in the 29th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Real Soccer FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Löfdahl. 31 minutes into the match, Real Soccer FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Berger came free, but Renato Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Luiz de Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Renato Braga made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Corneel Andriesens during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Soccer FC's Corneel Andriesens got a free kick in the 37th minute. After the first half Real Soccer FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Berger was the one to do the kick off. Lino Berger stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Renato Braga. 1-1. Despite this Didi Lima quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Meia Ronda's Didi Lima got control of the ball when Kaká Botelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Real Soccer FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mazinho de Alcântara in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Meia Ronda's zone, Michel Lukaku stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didi Lima came out of the goal and Michel Lukaku tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renato Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Tavares in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Lukaku got free with Didi Lima in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Real Soccer FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Tavares came free, but Renato Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Real Soccer FC's Didi Lima threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michel Lukaku, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 90 played minutes Meia Ronda got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Erruki. Real Soccer FC's Renato Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Tavares in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Ronald Koeman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Gilvan Tavares in the 96th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Renato Braga's left hand side. Real Soccer FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
